Cottage country is easier when nobody has to drive the 400 North after a long week. A private vehicle with a driver lets the whole group arrive together, start the weekend early and leave the parking questions behind.
Where in Muskoka are you going?
Muskoka is not a single stop. Discover Muskoka divides it into six regions:
- Gravenhurst
- Muskoka Lakes
- Bracebridge
- Lake of Bays
- Huntsville
- Georgian Bay
Official activity categories for the area include hiking, waterfalls, boat cruises, brewery and winery tours, museums, spas, cycling and golf. We do not name individual resorts or cottages on this page, because we have not checked them; if you already hold a booking at one, send us the address and we plan around it.
Which roads do you use?
According to Discover Muskoka’s driving directions, from Pearson or west Toronto you take Highway 401 East to Highway 400 North toward Barrie. From east Toronto it is Highway 401 West to the 400. After that the road depends on the town:
| Destination | Official turn-off |
|---|---|
| Gravenhurst or Muskoka Lakes | Highway 11 North, then Highway 169 West |
| Bracebridge | Highway 118 West |
| Huntsville or Algonquin | Highway 60 East |
| Lake of Bays | Highway 117 East or Highway 60 East |
| Georgian Bay, Port Severn, Honey Harbour | Stay on Highway 400 North toward Parry Sound |
No official drive time is published for these routes, so we stay with traffic permitting and plan generous buffers on Friday afternoons and holiday weekends.
Which vehicle should you pick?
- Couples or two families: executive sedan or luxury SUV
- A group of friends: stretch limousine
- A bigger group or celebration: party bus
- Wedding parties or reunions with many guests: group coach by quote, via group transportation
Exact capacity is confirmed with the quote.
What affects the quote?
Hours booked, travel day, vehicle and number of passengers all count. A one-way drop is planned differently from a weekend with a return pickup, and a Friday departure differs from a midweek one. We give a Get a Free Quote reply, never a guess from a brochure.
Tell us before you go
- Town or address in Muskoka
- Pickup address in the GTA
- Dates, with the departure time and return time you prefer
- Number of people and amount of luggage
- Any planned stops
If part of your group is flying in, a Pearson pickup can be added: see Pearson airport limo. For other long runs from Toronto, browse all routes.
Put your plan into the quote form and we pick it up from there.
