Downtown is where many Toronto group nights begin or end, so the question is rarely whether a vehicle can get there. It is where exactly the group will meet it. Tell us the venue, the date and how many people are coming, and we reply with a vehicle suggestion and a pickup point written into the quote.
What venues do downtown groups head to?
Several well-known names sit within the downtown and waterfront area, listed here for reference only, with no partnership implied:
- Scotiabank Arena, 40 Bay Street, home of the Maple Leafs and Raptors.
- Metro Toronto Convention Centre, with a North and a South Building.
- Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West, on the Lake Ontario waterfront.
- The Distillery Historic District, 55 Mill Street, with a seasonal Winter Village.
- Exhibition Place, 100 Princes’ Boulevard, a grounds that includes Coca-Cola Coliseum and BMO Field.
- Casa Loma, 1 Austin Terrace, used for weddings and corporate events.
- The CN Tower.
How do event-night pickups work?
Big events draw crowds to the same few streets, and we do not guess at closures or loading rules. Instead, we agree the pickup point with you in the quote, then confirm it again as the night gets closer. If your group is split between two spots, say so and we plan both.
Which vehicle suits a night out downtown?
For a larger crowd, a party bus keeps everyone together between dinner, a show and the ride home. Mid-sized parties fit a stretch limousine, and a luxury SUV handles a smaller crew. We settle seat counts when we quote. For corporate guests, see corporate event transportation.
How do airport and rail connections work?
Union Station, at 65 Front Street West, joins TTC Line 1, GO Transit, UP Express and VIA. UP Express runs to Pearson Terminal 1. Billy Bishop is on Toronto Island, reached by ferry or pedestrian tunnel. When your group has luggage, a private ride avoids the transfers. Read about Billy Bishop and Pearson pickups.
What else is nearby?
Downtown is part of the wider city, so see our Toronto page for the full picture, or go to Scarborough, North York and Etobicoke if your group starts elsewhere. Request a quote through the quote form.
