How is York Region organised?
York Region, formally the Regional Municipality of York, runs on a two-tier structure with nine local municipalities: Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and Whitchurch-Stouffville. It stretches north from Toronto to Lake Simcoe. The region was created in 1970 when 14 municipalities were combined into nine, and its offices sit at 17250 Yonge St in Newmarket. Most expected growth is in Markham, Vaughan and Richmond Hill.
Which York Region cities do we cover?
- Markham: theatre nights, Unionville and Pan Am Centre trips.
- Vaughan: Canada’s Wonderland, Vaughan Mills and Kleinburg.
- Richmond Hill: observatory, Mill Pond Park and arts venue trips.
- Newmarket: arranged on request.
For addresses in Aurora, King, Georgina, East Gwillimbury or Stouffville, send details and we confirm what is possible.
What do York Region groups usually need?
Typical requests include a party bus for a birthday or night out in Toronto, a stretch limousine for a wedding party, and airport transfers. York Region Transit and three GO lines (Stouffville, Richmond Hill and Barrie) serve the region, but a shared private ride suits groups who want to leave from their own doors. See party bus rental and airport limo for details, or compare with Peel Region.
How does a York Region quote work?
Several things move a York Region quote: the length of the booking, how many addresses the vehicle visits, the size of the group and whether the bus waits or returns later. Because the region is long and narrow, a pickup in Georgina is a different job from one in Markham, so we price each plan on its own. Send your plan through the quote form and we reply in writing.
