Durham Region sits east of Toronto and is organised as a two-tier system. The Regional Municipality of Durham handles broad planning and services, and eight area municipalities handle the local ones: the cities of Oshawa and Pickering, the towns of Ajax and Whitby, the Municipality of Clarington, and the townships of Brock, Scugog and Uxbridge. Regional headquarters are on Rossland Road East in Whitby.
Which Durham cities do we cover with a page?
- Oshawa: museums, the downtown car event and an arena the City plans to modernize
- Pickering: Frenchman’s Bay, the Nautical Village and a museum village
- Ajax: recreation centre halls and a waterfront park
- Whitby: arenas and a large sports complex
Each page is written around what the municipalities themselves publish. If you are somewhere else in the region, send your pickup address anyway.
What do groups in the region typically need?
Three kinds of request come up most often. A night out for a birthday or stag and stagette, where a party bus keeps everyone together. A team or family event at a local facility. And an airport run, where a group wants one vehicle instead of several cars. For the last one, see Pearson airport limo or airport limo.
How does transit fit in?
GO Lakeshore East stops at Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa, and Durham Region Transit operates buses across the region, with a five-year service strategy for 2026 to 2030. Buses and trains suit solo riders. A booked vehicle wins when twelve people want to leave one address together and return late.
How do I ask for a quote?
Send the date, each pickup address, stops, finish time and headcount through the quote form. Day, length of booking, vehicle and route all move the figure we send. For a trip beyond the region, see Toronto to Niagara Falls.
