Graduation is a day with a hard start time and a loose finish. The ceremony will not wait for a late car, and the celebrations afterwards can run on. Transport planning here is about the front end: a firm arrival time and a family that can park, walk and sit without rushing.
Who rides, and when?
Graduation groups tend to split into two parts. The graduate often needs to arrive early, and guests arrive later. Plan the pickups as separate runs if the times differ.
| Situation | Vehicle | Typical plan |
|---|---|---|
| Graduate with parents or grandparents | Luxury SUV | One pickup, ceremony, family dinner |
| Graduate with friends and family | Stretch limousine | Seats 8 to 10, photos on the way |
| Class or friend group celebration | Party bus | Up to 20+, evening after the ceremony |
Exact capacity is confirmed with the quote.
How does graduation timing work?
Start from the ceremony time and work backwards. Allow time for parking or drop-off, security at larger venues and a walk to the seats. Then decide what happens after: a late lunch, a dinner or a party. A daytime ceremony followed by a family meal is a short booking, while a class celebration at night is a longer one.
Ask your school or university for the arrival time for graduates and guests, and share both with us. We plan around the earlier one.
What makes it different from prom?
Prom is a student-led night with a dance and a group ride home. Graduation is mostly daytime, family-led, and tied to an institution’s timetable. The people are different too: grandparents with limited mobility, young cousins, and a graduate in a gown and cap. Tell us who rides so we choose a vehicle with easy boarding. If you are comparing the two, see the prom limo page.
Planning a class party after the ceremony
If friends want to celebrate after the family dinner, a party bus keeps the group together. Share the stop list, the finish time and a contact person, and the driver follows the plan. For a wider view of group trips, read our group transport planning guide.
How to get a quote
Three things move a graduation quote most: the hours, the group size and any waiting at the ceremony. Pass those details on through the quote form or WhatsApp, and we check the vehicle is free.
What should families prepare?
Bring the ceremony invitation or schedule details when you request the quote, and note anyone who needs step-free boarding or extra time. Gowns and caps are bulky, so mention how many people carry them. A short message to the driver on the morning, with the pickup point and the best contact number, avoids confusion if parking near the venue is tight.
